Muhlegaden Chalets, Grindelwald, Switzerland
New luxury chalets in the traditional style • 4 bedrooms including a master suite • Fantastic views of the mountains and glacier • Virtually ski-in, ski-out and close to the centre • About 2hrs from Zurich, 2hrs 45mins from Geneva • Delivery October 2012 • Available for foreigners
Property: Both of these wonderful chalets bear great names; Fieschergletscher and Wetterhorn, and deservedly so. The proud mountain with the same name stands majestically in front of Chalet Wetterhorn’s living room window, as with Chalet Fieschergletscher, the view from the living room stretches unhindered over the glacier to the Fiescherhorn (4049m).
Virtually ski-in, ski-out these stunning chalets both have 4 bedrooms including a master suite with dressing room and ensuite bathroom, open plan living and dining areas and huge balconies and terraces.
Resort: Grindelwald, or the “glacier village” as it is known, is the largest and oldest resort in the Jungfrau region. Like many of the best dual season resorts, the village itself is low (1,034m) but it has one thrilling difference - the 4,000m peaks of the Eiger and Jungfrau tower over the village and spill their glaciers almost into the village itself. The resort is approximately 2hrs from Zurich and 2hrs 45mins from Geneva. The network of cable cars and mountain railways serves a total of 213km of piste and gives the skiing a unique and romantic charm. Grindelwald shares a ski pass with Wengen which covers over 45 lifts.
