It also hosts a superb new spa which was completed in 2011.

Kaprun sits at the foot of the Kitzsteinhorn glacier. Towering up to 3,200m, the glacier provides guaranteed snow - in winter or summer - for year round skiing. Only five minutes away is Zell am See where there is a beautiful lake which is fantastic for swimming and leisurely boating trips in the summertime and even skating in the winter. Kaprun is easily accessible at only 85 minutes from Salzburg airport, 2 hours from Innsbruck and 2 hours 30 minutes from Munich Airport. It is also possible to travel directly to Zell am See by train.
