Resort: Wengen is a traffic free dual season resort accessible only by a cog railway. Perched above the Lauterbrunnen valley it has some of the most dramatic views in the Alps. Most visitors come by train from Zurich, Berne or Geneva. This is a charming and rather old-fashioned resort, with an unhurried atmosphere and is a firm favourite with well-heeled British visitors who return year after year. The Jungfrau lift pass covers 213 km of pistes including the famous Schilthorn, above Murren, at 2,970m.
