Resort: Kaprun & Zell am See are prime tourist destinations in Austria, these traditional towns together form the 'Europa-Sportregion' with altitudes of up to 3,200m and a glacier, skiing here is snow sure. Only 70mins drive from Salzburg Airport, these resorts are easily accessible as there is also a direct train From Salzburg to Zell am See and regular busses to take you to Kaprun.
Winter: There is plenty of skiing here with over 130km of pistes on the mountains of Kitzsteinhorn, Maiskogel and Schmittenhöhe these resorts offer a great range of blue, red and black pistes making them perfect for beginners and experienced skiers alike. Both Zell ma See and Kaprun are very family friendly resorts with great après ski too!
Summer: Zell am See is one of the most scenic and well-loved 'lakes & mountains' resorts in Austria it is ideally located on the shores of the Zeller lake which is fantastic for swimming in the summer or for taking leisurely boating trips.
The historic town of Kaprun with its famous glacier offers breathtaking views and wonderful hiking opportunities not to mention the fact that you can ski all year round on the Kitzsteinhorn glacier.
