Resort: The famous Saalbach ski resort is just 90 minutes south of Salzburg airport and is situated in the beautiful Glemmtal valley within the Salzburg province of Austria. Saalbach has an affluent feel and benefits from a pedestrianised centre, with many hotels and restaurants.

Winter: The valley runs from east to west and is one of Austria’s main ski holiday destinations with over 200km of pistes. Like many Austrian resorts Saalbach-Hinterglemm has a pretty, traditional-style village and very lively nightlife, but unlike many it combines this with a very extensive circuit of slopes on both sides of a valley, and runs are linked by an efficient modern lift system.

Summer: The Glemmtal Valley is a beautiful summertime retreat with plenty of hiking routes, and lakes and swimming pools to swim in. This region is famous for its cycling paths and has over 250km of marked routes accessible by any of the 5 cable cars, so just catch a ride to the top and cycle down!
