The Town

Just an hour away from Innsbruck airport lies the beautiful village of Solden. The village has an international atmosphere bringing avid skiers and non skiers from around the globe to experience the amazing slopes, mountain views, sporting events and training, and of course - the après scene. 

The well-connected village is just 15 minutes away from Obergurgl, another lively and snow sure resort. Langenfeld is another village just a 10 minute drive away which is known for being Tyrol's largest wellness and spa retreat. With just a 2 and a half hour drive, you can get to Munich or Salzburg.

The Skiing

Solden is a snow-sure resort with an unlimited range of slopes for both skiers and snowboarders. The varied pistes and the opening event of the FIS Ski World Cup, attract skiers of all abilities to try out the famous mountains of Solden. 

Solden has over 144km of ski area, 32 ski lifts and two incredible glaceirs - Glacier Rettenbach and Glacier Tiefenbach. The efficient lifts Gaislachkoglbahn and Giggijochbahn can hold up to 8100 people an hour, creating a lift experience like no other!

Solden is also the only resort with three mountains with peaks over 3000m. The altitude of the whole resort ranges from 1350m to 3340m and the resort is usually open from as early as September to May.

By the Gaislachkogl lift, one can experience the adventurous slopes where the James Bond film Spectre was filmed.

Summer

With over 468km of terrain, from forests to glaciers, Solden is a thriving resort with plenty of events to keep you busy all year round. In the summer, exploring the extensive biking and hiking trails can keep you entertained for weeks. The Bike Republic and the Almzeit Theme Trail are just two of the world renowned activities people come to Solden for in the summer. 

The pristine and unspoilt nature seen on the Almzeit Trail as well as the outstanding panoramic views from The Big Three are incomparable and leave one feeling truly mesmerised. 

Rock climbing and swimming are other great summer activities in Solden. Being home to Austria's largest outdoor leisure park - Area 47, there will always be countless activities in the lively resort.
