Resort: The Val d'Anniviers is a magical valley just over 2 hours from Geneva with several picture postcard traditional villages. It is 40 minutes from Sion and there are some direct flights from the UK in winter. Each village has its own ski area but they add up to a respectable 240 km of skiing in the valley. The villages are at high altitude and Zinal (2,000m) is the highest inhabited village in Switzerland. The villages of St Luc and Grimentz are particularly charming little known gems, completely unspoilt. This is what everyone is looking for at the moment - high altitude resorts with the charm and romance of a traditional villages dating back to the 15th century.

Winter: The ski area is high altitude and snow sure (up to 3,100m) and continues to grow - there are plans to link Zinal and Grimentz (although these things take time in Switzerland) and to replace old lifts. There are 240km of piste in the valley and the ski areas of Crans Montana and Verbier are easily accessible by car.

Summer: St Luc and Grimentz are particularly charming dual season villages, very pretty in the summer. There is a championship golf course in Crans Montana and mountain biking, tennis, and walking locally. There are also plans to create a large spa in Grimentz.

Property: Foreigners are permitted to buy in Grimentz and St Luc but very few foreigner permits are given each year so they are rare. We have ski in ski out plots in Grimentz where you could have a chalet built to order and also apartments near the ski lift. Prices have increased in the Val d'Anniviers in the last few years but are still very reasonable.
