After several days of solid snow this weekend and early this week, there has been a huge accumulation of snow across the Alps. With lifts due to open this weekend in many resorts and holiday-makers incoming, this substantial snowfall has been extremely timely and boosts hope for a "white christmas" in the Alps.

Meribel was one of the biggest benefactors of the recent snowfall with 80cm of new snow in 24-hours on Sunday and more snow forecast for this weekend too. However, there truly has been snow across the Alps with resorts like Chatel, Les Gets and Val d'Isere looking particularly stunning.
