The Best of The Best - Our top 10 Properties

25 Jun, 2026 by Investors In Property

Every year we feature hundreds of Alpine properties, each offering something different. Although every development has its strengths, a select few stand out for their location, design, facilities or overall concept. From branded residences and hotel-style apartments to traditional chalets and rare second homes, here are ten of our favourite properties currently available across Switzerland, France and Austria.

Switzerland

The Post Hotel Residences – Andermatt

Located in the centre of Andermatt, the development comprises 19 one to three-bedroom apartments, with buyers still able to adapt floor plans and finishes during construction.

The facilities are among the most extensive currently available in the Alps, including a ski simulator, yoga studio, kids' club, concierge service, restaurant and a full spa and wellness area. Buyers can also choose between a flexible rental programme with up to 12 weeks' personal use or a guaranteed 5% return for the first three years, while the option to purchase through a foreign company can offer additional flexibility for international buyers.

The development reflects Andermatt's remarkable transformation. More than CHF 1.5 billion has been invested into the resort over the past two decades, helping establish it as one of Switzerland's fastest-growing year-round destinations.

Fendi Private Residences – Crans Montana

Crans-Montana enjoys around 300 days of sunshine each year, making it one of Switzerland's most established four-season mountain resorts. Branded residences remain relatively rare in the Alps, making the new FENDI Private Residences a distinctive and welcome addition to the market. Split across the Paradis and Alpina buildings, the development consists of just 10 apartments, creating a level of exclusivity that's difficult to find in such a central location.

Owners benefit from interiors by FENDI Casa alongside concierge services, a gym, ski room and a wellness area complete with an indoor pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, hammam and massage rooms. Available to foreign buyers, the residences combine private ownership with the convenience of five-star hotel facilities.

Les Gentianes – Verbier

New-build penthouses in Verbier are difficult to find, especially those offering the space and facilities of Les Gentianes. The duplex apartment combines traditional Alpine architecture with a master suite, dressing room, three additional bedrooms and generous open-plan living centred around a fireplace.

A private cinema room, sauna and hammam give the property much more of a chalet feel than a typical apartment, while south-west facing balconies on both floors maximise the mountain views. Interior and exterior parking complete a property that's well suited to extended stays throughout the year.

Planning restrictions mean very little new property is built in Verbier each year, helping maintain the resort's long-term appeal while owners enjoy access to more than 400km of skiing across the 4 Vallees.

Chalet Pas du Canard – Veysonnaz

True ski in, ski out chalets in Switzerland are very sought-after, making Chalet Pas du Canard a popular opportunity. Positioned directly on the slopes above Veysonnaz, the chalet offers four en-suite bedrooms, spacious contemporary interiors and exceptional views across the valley.

The main living space combines a modern kitchen, dining area and sitting room beneath vaulted ceilings, while a private sauna, hot tub, TV room, ski room and garage provide everything needed for long family stays. It's a property that's equally impressive for its flexibility as it is for its location.

France

Les Suites – Tignes

One of Les Suites' biggest advantages is its altitude. Set at 2100 metres in the centre of Tignes, the development enjoys a ski in, ski out location together with one of the most reliable snow records in the Alps.

The one to four-bedroom apartments are complemented by a swimming pool, spa, bar, breakfast area and five-star hotel services, and rental management offers owners the flexibility to generate income alongside personal use. Fully equipped kitchens, balconies or terraces, ski lockers and private parking complete a development that's designed to be enjoyed throughout the season.

The Grande Motte Glacier rises to 3450 metres, allowing skiing well into spring and helping make Tignes one of France's most snow-sure resorts.

L'Estive – Morzine

For buyers who value village life as much as skiing, L'Estive offers one of the strongest locations in Morzine. Positioned in the centre of the resort, the development combines contemporary chalets and apartments with a village setting that's within walking distance of shops, cafes and restaurants.

Generous terraces, open-plan interiors and impressive mountain views make the properties equally suited to summer and winter, while the free shuttle provides direct access to the Super Morzine lifts in just a few minutes.

Chalet La Fleur – Les Saisies

Finding a detached Alpine chalet for under €1 million is actually quite tricky in the Alps. However, Chalet Le Fleur is the perfect Alpine chalet full of authentic Savoyard character at just 780,000 EUR. The property offers six bedrooms across three levels, with a fireplace, balcony and peaceful north-west facing views over the surrounding mountains.

One of the chalet's biggest strengths is its potential. Complete with stables and generous living space, it offers buyers the opportunity to renovate and create a bespoke family home while retaining its original Alpine charm. Available to all foreign buyers, it's also situated just moments from the resort centre of Hauteluce, ski lifts and local amenities.

Austria

The Secret Solden – Solden

The Secret Solden combines contemporary apartment ownership with the convenience of a luxury hotel, offering 44 fully furnished apartments with exceptional facilities and services. The one to three-bedroom residences feature contemporary interiors, spacious balconies or terraces as well as professional rental management, making it easy to own and manage from abroad.

Indoor and outdoor swimming pools, an extensive spa, concierge services and an on-site bar all contribute to the lifestyle on offer, whilst the completed development sits just a short walk from the ski lifts.

Solden is an immensely popular resort and welcomes around 2.6 million overnight guests each year, the highest number of overnight stays of any municipality in Austria (after Vienna). It also enjoys one of the country's longest ski seasons thanks to its two glaciers and continues to demonstrate excellent long-term rental potential.

The Alpine Lake Edition – Lake Pressegger See

Second-home opportunities for non-EU buyers in Austria are exceptionally limited, making The Alpine Lake Edition one of the country's most attractive developments. Located just metres from Lake Pressegger See, the one and two-bedroom apartments are sold fully furnished with interiors by renowned designer Eric Kuster.

Among the highlights are private saunas, an indoor heated swimming pool, fitness area, restaurant, hotel services and professional rental management, as well as 300 metres of private beachfront allowing a lifestyle that's difficult to replicate elsewhere in the Alps. Nearby Nassfeld also provides excellent skiing just ten minutes away.

Lake Pressegger See is one of Austria's warmest Alpine lakes, reaching temperatures of around 28°C during the summer, making the development just as appealing outside the ski season.

Chalet Amelie - Saalbach

Traditional Austrian chalets without a rental obligation are rare, making Chalet Amelie stand out. Set on a generous 1459m² plot between Saalbach and Zell am See, the property combines direct slope access with complete flexibility for owners.

The chalet includes three bedrooms, a library, wine cellar and a separate alpine lodge complete with its own sauna, while large terraces, a heated outdoor lounge and three-car garage create a family retreat rather than an investment-led property. Available to all nationalities, it's an opportunity that's difficult to find.

If any of these properties have caught your eye, we'd be delighted to provide further information or discuss which opportunities best suit your requirements. Alternatively, click here to explore our full collection of Alpine properties currently available across Switzerland, France and Austria.
