Hollersbach Resort
The quaint, charming village of Hollersbach is nestled in the heart of the upper Pinzgau region in the Salzberg Province, near the Salzach River. Originally a dairy farming village, Hollersbach was founded in 1160 at the foot of the Hohe Tauern mountains. This dual season resort is pleasant throughout the year, and offers some superb skiing.
Hollersbach has direct access to the Kitzbuhel ski area, and with Mittersill and Stuhlfelden within easy reach the village is exceedingly convenient. Although the village is small, there are a number of traditional bars and restaurants, and for those looking for a little more luxury the high end shops in both Mittersill and Kitzbuhel are within easy reach.
A superb dual season resort, this village is only 1 hour and 40 minutes from Salzberg and Innsbruck airports, and only 25 minutes from the lake at Zell am See. Boasting plenty of Austrian charm, this village is a great place to visit throughout the year.

As a part of the Kitzbuhel ski area, connected via the Panoramabahn ski lift, Hollersbach boasts some of the best skiing in Austria right on the doorstep. With 173km of ski slopes including the infamous Hahnenkamm downhill run, otherwise known as the 'Streif', Hollersbach is an excellent ski area for intermediate level skiers.
As well as 91km of blue runs, which will suit everyone from beginners to casual intermediate skiers, there are 57km of red runs and 25km of black runs. The area enjoys a longer season, generally running from December to May, and with snow cannons covering the bottom slopes even the lower altitude areas of the resort maintain good coverage well into spring.
Hollersbach is only a five minute drive from neighbouring Bramberg, giving buyers in the resort easy access to the skiing in the Wildkogel Ski Area as well as the Kitzbuhel Alps. The skiing in Bramberg is less crowded than it is on the Kitzbuhel side of the mountain, so it can be a fantastic alternative to the main slopes during peak weeks.
Hollersbach is a fantastic hiking and nordic walking destination, with the dramatic mountains and wooded slopes serving as a stunning backdrop to the walking paths. Mountain bikers can enjoy the area too, with 800km of cycling routes, many of them accessible via the ski lifts to ensure they can enjoy the rush of the downhill without the uphill.
There is an excellent high ropes course in Bramberg, which is popular amongst families. The Salzach River passes through the resort, and offers a range of watersports including rafting and kayaking, or spend an afternoon canyoning. Zell am See is only 25 minutes away, where you can enjoy an afternoon swimming or sailing.
Golfers can easily spend an afternoon on the par 70 Mittersill-Stuhlfelden Golf Course. The 18 hole course has spectacular scenery, rustic hay lofts, ponds, a small stream and a par 3 island green. As the area is known as the golf centre of Austria, there are 19 courses within 30 minutes drive of the village.

Hollersbach is a an old dairy farming village, and the properties for sale are built in the Alpine style. Despite the traditional architecture, the bulk of the new developments in the resort are apartments. There are very few resale chalets and apartments on the market, and the new build projects are located in sunny locations on the edge of the resort.
