Buying a ski property can be a treacherous world when you’re on a budget. The best known resorts come with the price tag to match their reputation, and not all the resorts within your budget will be your cup of tea. We all know searching for a ski property can feel a little like stepping into the unknown, and it can be difficult to tell what’s worth investing in.

So, to help make the search a little easier we compiled a list of our favourite ski properties that don’t cost an arm and a leg.

Chatel – The View

With prices running under £1,000,000, this ski in, ski out development is perfect for easy access to the huge ski area of the Portes du Soleil. All the apartments have three or more bedrooms, the views are spectacular and it’s freehold too; no need to rent it out.

Les Menuires – Les Sommet

The Trois Vallees isn’t exactly known for having ski in, ski out property on the market for anything less than a fortune, but Les Menuires has long been overlooked in favour of Meribel, Courchevel and Val Thorens. With a three bed duplex coming to £350,000, Le Sommet is an absolute gem of a ski property.

Zell am See – Blue Water Apartments

Modern apartments close to the banks of Lake Zell, the Blue Water Apartments are spacious properties in one of Austria’s prettier ski resorts. Zell is the perfect duel season location, and has some of the most snow sure skiing in Europe on the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier.

Nendaz –Apartments Forestiers

Consisting of 21 newbuild apartments in the Verbier ski area, these are a great way to get the same superb skiing as Verbier, with a much smaller price tag. It’s also ski in, ski out, close to the centre of the town, and the views over the Rhone valley are almost unparalleled.

La Plagne – Diamant des Neiges

With access to one of the largest ski areas in France, a ski in, ski out position, and up to five bedrooms, this is a superb, snow sure option for those looking at investing in property close to the challenging slopes of the Paradiski Area.
